this is the "FNIRST" soldering iron, this is cheap and even this looks great, but the real question is, how great it is? is it really worth your money? let's check this out
hand-holding experience is not too bad this is acceptable with this price range
surprisingly with the soldering iron, you get this 65-watt first adaptor
this is too heavy
here you can see the output current rating, in 5-volt mode you can get 4.5 amperes,
in 9-volt mode, you can get 3 amperes similarly 12 volt 2.5 amperes, 15v 2 amperes, and in 20 volts you can get 1.5 amperes.
I think this is significant power for properly heating this soldering iron
even though in this soldering iron you can get a premium cable to handle this too much current,
I called it premium because this Silicon cable is so soft. I like it.
you never feel this wire is too heavy
see this C-cable's end construction, this is stainless steel, and I am impressed
for checking purposes, I'll connect this C-cable to this adaptor and another end with this soldering iron
and here you can see the heating process just takes 4 seconds to reach 0 to 300-degree centigrade, this is a good sign
even though in this soldering iron you can get maximum heat is 80 degrees to 420 degrees centigrade I think this is a proper heating to do something crazy
However, here comes the question, is it a real 400 degrees centigrade?
Let's check
I will use this multimeter here to test the heat, hopefully, this multimeter will take an accurate reading
which is why I set my soldering iron's temperature maximum of 420 degrees centigrade.
next, I attached my multimeter sensor wire with this soldering iron.
after a few seconds, the temperature will still hold 392°c,
I think this soldering iron's temperature sensor is placed in this soldering iron's core.
so that is why here tip temperature is a little bit down but it's okay.
now let's check out the physical test
here you can see that I chose the copper board to test the soldering process.
at 300 degrees centigrade, you can see quite a nice soldering going on this copper board.
But whenever I try to solder 1.5mm wire at this temperature of 300 degrees centigrade it doesn't look too good,
So for that, I will set again 420 degrees centigrade.
Then see the soldering, even I can attach it nicely on this copper board.
If you look closely, you can see that this 1.5 mm wire is soldered and bonded very tightly to the copper board.
So it seems to me a good deal
Maybe a little question may come to your mind. that the soldering tip may need different shapes?
Yes, there are various tips for that.
Easily available and that too at a low cost.
Also, I forgot to tell you.
This soldering iron can also run on DC voltage if you want.
For that, this socket comes with a soldering iron.
