The working advantages of a projector

  • Projectors can display images on screens or surfaces of various sizes, far exceeding the size of conventional monitors or TVs. This makes them ideal for presentations, classrooms, home theaters, and events.

Many projectors are lightweight and compact, allowing them to be easily transported and set up              in different locations.

LCD projectors are known for their vibrant and accurate color reproduction, which is especially              beneficial for media-rich presentations, graphics, and movies.

But by reading this article today, you will understand how to make a projector at home

Step-1

Light Source:

To make a good projector? definitely, you should have a great light source, so that is why here I introduce to you this light,

this is a 100watt LED light, this LED runs on 36-volt,

since this is high watt LED light, that means this light also generates heat,

so that is why definitely you should have a great heat sink for it

so I had to use a 6 mm thickness aluminum bar,  I know this is not enough to cool heat, so for that reason, I was using two cooling fans

These fans are attached to this bar as you can understand  from this picture

Yes you are right I used a boost converter, but here I had something wrong, where I used a 3 amp boost converter.

That was my biggest mistake. I used 12 volts to step up to 36 volts. That wasn't quite right.

later updated it to a higher amp boost converter. Because 2 days later my boost converter was burned.

Anyway, you see here how bright this light is, and hopefully, it's enough light for me to make this project.

But maybe I can't give you the link to buy this LED because I bought it offline, maybe it's available online, but I didn't notice it.

We all know that light spreads all the time but in this case, the light spread will not work at all,

So I used this 10mm lens to focus the light, link to buy it

The function of this lens is to focus the scattered light to a specific point. It means that the light will go in a certain direction.

You can definitely understand the change by looking at this picture

It works to spread light in one direction. Which is very valuable to make a projector. The less light is wasted, the brighter the image will be.

But in this way the light becomes round on the wall, but in my case I need a rectangular light so that the picture floats.

Look at my finger in the picture, exactly on that same straight line, Fresnel Lens must be used so that the light wave can be rectangular.

step-2.

Light Management

For light management, we need different types of lenses that can direct the light in the right direction and use it properly.

Now you may be wondering where to get this lens cheaply.

I hope you haven't forgotten about this mobile gadget. This gadget allows you to enlarge the phone's image. This is the Fresnel Lens.

This lens needs to be removed from this gadget and that will play a special role in the projector.

If you can't find this gadget, you can also use this lens also,

I used an old tab as the image source here and you have to measure according to the size of the tab's display because that's how you have to buy the lens.

It's important , even I made some wooden frames to hold the lens properly.
I used a wooden frame here. You can use any material you want, or if you have a 3D printer, you can print it on a 3D printer, in which case it will be more perfect.
In my case it was an experiment, I didn't know how well it would work. So I made it like this. If I make it again in the future, I will definitely make it more beautifully.
Now you need to adjust the focus of the light on the wooden frame and place the lens. This needs to be done very carefully, because if you don't do it correctly, your light may not fall on the wall in a rectangular shape, or some of the light may be scattered, not being efficient enough, you need to keep an eye on this.

After applying this lens, you will see that you have a rectangle of light, but in that case the rectangle of light has become much smaller.
But we want a larger image.
So in that case, you will have to use another lens like this, put it in the opposite direction so that you get a larger image.
And in between these two lenses, we will have our image source, where the image will be created and we will see its reflection on the wall.
If you think that everything ends here, then you are wrong, nothing is over, because there is still a lot left.

Chapter 3
Focus Adjustment

Next is focus adjustment, meaning it is our turn to adjust the focus of the image we have.
And to adjust that, we need a lens.
Are you thinking again, lens! Will it cost a lot? No, you are completely wrong.
I thought that I would make it very cheaply, so I used a very cheap lens here, (you can check it out if you want  52MM CLOSE UP LENS)
The function of this lens is to adjust the focus of our image

And you must keep in mind that you have to adjust the focus by moving this lens back and forth. This is very important to produce a clear image. I have chosen the lens as per my requirement. In your case, it may not be the same distance. Do you have to keep that in mind.

Now look at my light, it looks great in the square box, just like I expected.
Now to see if it is working properly I wrote Thanks for Watching on a plastic transparent paper.

To see if it reflects and see when I put it in between the two question lenses upside down its reflection is reflected on the wall quite nicely as I wanted.

I have to end this article here. In the next article, I will give you more detailed information on how to display real images from a TAB TFT Display
